Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, according to an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet landed in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, including Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a short visit to Brussels at the time.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has experienced equipment failures.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was required to head back to Washington DC after suffering a technical issue.
